GPU detection error message missing from the output

Description

$ bin/gmx mdrun -quiet -v 

Back Off! I just backed up md.log to ./#md.log.16#
NOTE: Detection of GPUs failed. The API reported:
            GROMACS cannot run tasks on a GPU.
Compiled SIMD: AVX_256, but for this host/run AVX_128_FMA might be better (see
log).

The above warning "NOTE" is missing the second line with the CUDA runtime's error.

As far as I recall, we agreed that we wanted to keep the output from such modules/diagnostic message/notes to a single line to avoid stdout continuously growing until users start ignoring everything we write

I still think that's a good balance, so then one should improve the error message sent from this module rather than adding more lines.

Unrelated. The messages states The API reported: and the message that should follow is missing.
