Description

trjconv -split fails, independent from what was given as an argument to "-split"

trjconv -split 1000 -f traj.xtc -o traj.split.xtc

I have tried it with various xtc files...
(if 0 is given as an argument for -split [which does not make too much sense to
me] it runs, producing traj.split.xtc as one file)

A wild guess would be that the output file is correctly resolved

PS
Output:
Back Off! I just backed up (null)_0(null) to ./#(null)_0(null).9#
-------------------------------------------------------
Program trjconv, VERSION 3.3
Source code file: trxio.c, line: 304

Fatal error:
Sorry, write_trxframe can not write unknown
-------------------------------------------------------

PPS when guessing platform and operating system, platform was "All", OS was
correctly set to "Linux"

found a typo, it should rather be:
A wild guess would be that the output filename is INcorrectly resolved

#2 Updated by Berk Hess almost 14 years ago

I have fixed the -split bug for the 3.3.1 release.
